So, in the book I tell two Hugh Hefner anecdotes…one about Barbie Benton. I cast her in a Rowan &Martin’s Laugh-In dance party. Hugh was the guest host and he asked her out. Read what I told her!And then another time I went out with a guy who took me to screenings and dinners and swims in the famous Grotto at the Mansion …and I almost drown because I refused to go topless…read it and laugh! I promise you will.
My luncheon book event at Friends of Israel Defense Force was so great. I told them I could live
in Chicago..so find me a Mr. More Than Adequate and I would see! Still waiting ladies…
The reason our soldier’s face is blacked out is for her safety!!
Wow what a great time I had in Chicago doing a luncheon for Friends of the Israel Defense Force. The Women’s Brigade which send kids to college and takes care of Israel kids who parents have been killed in service. My fave group and I have three of my own soldiers, one who lives in Chicago now with his wife.
I went to Northwestern so it’s like a second home. And my college roommate and another old NU friend came to see me and that was great. My soldier Lior and his wife Tal live here too, Maybe I’ll spend more time here..A great time was had by all…i hope!
I AM BEYOND EXCITED…OK OK NO MORE CAPS. I am thrilled to report that the book went up t #9 on Kindle TV Books and #136 on paperback…that is within 8 million that are listed! Yeah…and it’s due to wonder interview that Fox.Com Stephanie Nolasco did. It was done in July and I was waiting anxiously and it posted yesterday!
I just returned from a fabulous book selling event. The Greensboro Jewish Federation (through the Jewish Book Club) hosted me for a women’s luncheon at which 110 great ladies were so fun to talk with. I don’t read at a book signing as there is nothing more boring than an audience sitting listening to a writer read aloud! Get an audio book!
A lovely local book store guy Bryan was there and supplied the books and the terrific sign. All in all a fun event and my first in a series I’ll be doing…coming to Jewish venues near you!
